She has raised over $100 million for public health throughout her career and has worked with former presidential families, Fortune 500 CEOs, and the philanthropy community.

She formerly served as the Assistant Dean at the University of Maryland, School of Public Health, the Vice President of the American Diabetes Association’s Research Foundation, and the interim CEO of the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO) Foundation. Since coming to the US, her professional career has primarily been in government and community outreach. While there, she worked with the Department of Agriculture and oversaw the logistical needs of thousands of farmers. Claudia is originally from Cochabamba, Bolivia. While she began her duties as a case investigator, Claudia quickly joined the Resources Navigation Team and assisted about 830 families who have been affected by COVID-19. During the pandemic, Claudia joined the COVID containment effort with VDH (Central Virginia). Her responsibilities included working cooperatively with the VCU and VDH liaisons to educate and provide resources to help families overcome the debilitating effects of asthma. She started working with IPHI in 2018 for the VCU Asthma Research Program.
